Hi John. When Jill showed me her shot of the flower I suggested the title "Colour". My reasons as follows :
Even in BW our minds will fill in the colour it needs to see.
Or the scientific explanation.
White is the blending of all colours and is a colour.
Light appears colourless or white. Sunlight is white light that is composed of all the colours of the spectrum. A rainbow is proof. You can't see the colours of sunlight except when atmospheric conditions bend the light rays and create a rainbow. You can also use a prism to demonstrate this.
In short: The sum of all the colours of light add up to white.
Lastly, I thought it a cool title :-)

Now this colour I could have on my wall (our wall) :-).

Jill, you did well to put the "u" in the colour, not the least reason being that it irritated Seymour, (not Seymor, by the way), but you forgot to put the colour in the photo. Never mind, it looks ok the way that it is. I just don't get the title.

The flower is beautifully girly & the stem & buds are so manly which makes this just perfect a.

Similar to Ernest's but with a girls touch. More delicate, less manly. Well done, Jill.

Thanks so much Etna, Penny SG & Bill. Our English language spelling is based on the Oxford English dictionary, and there are definite differences in our spelling compared to the American language.

Hey Seymour, your neighbours to the North use the same curious spelling for colour and even for neighbour.
Excellent shot Jill and the colour is perfect as b&w or close to it.

Good textures here and like Ernest, a good idea to put the dark background. Well done Jill
