Everyone loves a soft-boiled egg with strips of toast to dip in. In UK we call it "Egg and soldiers". What do you call it?

Nice one Christakis.

Rod, you'll be surprised how easy this photo was to shoot. Right after I shot this I spent 2 hours cursing at my computer because it wouldn't boot up, again! Thankfully, that is fixed now :) If everything goes well I got 3 more years of care-free computing before the new hard disk fails.

CO, In my mind food photography is all about setups. Let's face it food rarely looks delicious if it's not setup.

Jill, There's always space for one more :)

Thanks Christakis...if I get any more gadgets ( thanks to Ernest) in my kitchen...I shall have to move out...no more room !

Haha Jerry! Thanks and I'm sorry... :)
Jill, It's a matter of preference really. I usually go for the head first. Regarding the consistency, my Egg-Perfect "timer" never lets me down. [link]. Highly recommended if you want consistent results. You can get it cheap off amazon.

Christakis, 10/10 for an innovative shot. Egg is the right consistency...just wonder which end gets dipped first with the soldiers:-)

You're making me hungry, Christakis. Good arrangement with wonderful color.

Thanks for the comments guys. It's a shame that "Egg and soldiers" is considered such a childish breakfast. I love it :) Ernest, you are right. Set up shots are extremely fun. I would like to shoot tethered too but I don't have a long enough USB cable; and the wireless adapter is too expensive for amateurs like us. :(

I like it :-). Good colour, focus, balance, lighting & a story as well. Now who got to dip the little fellows :-). I can see who enjoys setting up a shot besides the Rex's LOL. More folk should try it, its great fun & more than anything else, the photographer controls everything :-). I even got myself a netbook to attach to my cam so I can see what I am working with, but to lazy to attach it for shooting..... well next time LOL.
