Lol @ Penny- yes only wet German car windshields create bokeh like this ;-) Very cool shot RK.

Hehe, its one of those everyday commuting cars. Wide open aperture gave this effect plus the Leica lens helps.
 (17/12/2009 @ 20:57:19 EST)
I did exactly what you did, RK (in the car with the raindrops, etc....probably at the same time you did) but I didn't come up with anything like this.
What kind of car was it?

Thanks all. This was shot thru the windshield white sitting in traffic. Turned off the wipers for a bit, let the rain drops accumulate and shot a few frames. The light scatter/bokeh is the effect of rain drops as the focus was set to infinity the aperture was wide open.

What an interesting shot RK - those spectral highlights are wild - if that's what they are! Did you shoot this through bubble wrap or cellophane or is this an overlay? Curious minds want to know! ;-) Oh, great shot for the topic too!

Geez this is great. Lots of lovely bokeh and in b/w to boot!!! I really like how you positioned the light post too.

Great shot, RK...I think the bokeh is just amazing. Also the simplicity of the shot appeals to me.

Wow.

This I like (not withstanding it is perfect BW). Good image, thought provoking... just a great shot :-)

Bokeh, bokeh & more Leica bokeh:-) Excellent idea RK, was this shot through wet glass? The look is terrific, great work mate.

Clever idea not to keep the vertical alignment here.

Quite a unique capture here RK, I really like this though I can't put my finger on the why... just works for me and definitely has a strong sense of isolation!
