RK, this is shot at 1/250th of a second at 26mm FL. Not sure what you mean by "steady hand". I'm sure you can easily do the same yourself, no.

This nice warm light will be cold soon. I am guessing that it is really big (more than twice as high as a normal door) and that the dirty spot is hand prints. Besides the doors I like the dust and corrosion on top and the ivory columns. Very nice.

Thanks, guys. It's usually hard to get any kind of a decent shot of the Supreme Court (well, at least my ideal, meaning with no people around ;-)), but because the Capitol was closed due to Obama's visit, there wasn't a soul but me in the entire area.

Yes the sunlight running down just that one side of the door looks magnificent a. Excellent picy using the great light to it's best advantage. Well done.
