What a lovely picture - I love the toning & the little bit of colour in Koda's eye.

Lovely dog portrait (and lovely subject!). I like the high-key aspect to this, and toning is perfect as well. Nicely done!

I follow Tommy, a very original image, and this is a remarkable merit. Daniel.

This is great. I love it. Yes, it looks high key but it definitley works for a duotone, IMO.

Thanks Brent and Tommy. Yes Carole busted me right away. Good idea on the crop Tommy I might give it a run.

Congratulations Doug on the first really original doggy shot I've seen by anyone in quite some time. Very well done and just one suggestion: since the primary interest is on the face, the shot could benefit from a bit less space on the top and left.

Awe, Koda looks very sweet here! I think the highkey effect works well here Doug and that Carole sure has a good eye to spot the masking of that eye too ;-)

Thanks for the comment Carole. I used a very light shade of brown instead of white for the duotone which helped to keep color in the eye. Then I did cheat the duotone just a touch with a slight mask over his eye to keep some color. We did name him Koda (as in kodachrome) after all. -Doug

I LIKE the HK look Doug and the toning on the fur looks really nice and textured. Did you color the eye? It looks good but I didn't think it would be that color with a duotone.

Thanks guys. I was expecting a high key tongue lashing. Honestly, the duo treatment created the hk look by accident. -Doug

This does look great & works great a. The black dog receding into the light background looks really terrific & there's just enough colour in the background to stop it looking washed out. Excellent entry & picy Dougy, well done mate.
